Sana’a: Residents in a tiny Yemeni village were taken aback when a camel refused to leave the burial of its newly buried owner for six days.

According to witnesses in Ibb province’s Sidah village, the sad camel walked in the funeral procession of its owner, Ali Al Na’ana, and refused to leave the cemetery when mourners left.

Al Wajeeh Ali, a local who publicised the issue, stated that Al Na’ana’s son took the camel from the graveyard because of fear that it would be stolen.

However, when he returned home with the camel, it instantly returned to the grave and sat close to its late owner’s tomb.

The family said they use force to drag the camel to the farm at night but it hurries back to the grave just after the far door opens again in the morning…they said it also refuses to eat and that is has been like this for nearly a week.

As Camel refused to leave its owner’s grave, refusing to eat or drink. Many people from wealthy Gulf States offered to buy the camel after publicizing its loyalty to its owner.
