All I Want for Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey is back at number one in the United Kingdom.

Mariah Carey unseats Taylor Swift as her holiday single stays 120 days on the UK top.

Mariah Carey just topped the UK charts with her classic Christmas single All I Want for Christmas Is You on Friday. According to BBC News, the Hero hit maker knocked Taylor Swift off the top place following her six-week reign with Anti-Hero.

According to the news site, Mariah’s new single topped the charts after being played 10.8 million times in the previous week. Mariah’s song debuted in 1994 and achieved number one for the first time 26 years later, in 2020

Other performers’ Christmas tunes, like Elton John and Ed Sheeran, were also listed among the top 10. Wham’s Last Christmas is reportedly at number three, with Ed and Elton’s Christmas songs at numbers four and five, respectively.

Brenda Lee’s Rocking’ Around the Christmas Tree debuts at number six on the Billboard Hot 100. Interestingly, the Daily Mail stated that pop sensation Raye made an appearance when the song ascended to number two this week.

Meanwhile, Olly Moors, who finished second on The X Factor in 2009, broke the record when his album Marry Me arrived at number one.

The Christmas hit avalanche has buried some of pop’s greatest stars, with Swift’s Anti-Hero slipping to fifth position after six weeks at the top, and Lewis Capaldi’s new song, Pointless, landing at 20.

However, one artist has defied the pattern. Raye, a pop artist, has reached a career high with her current track Escapism, which reached number two this week. TikTok’s top trends for 2022 include rap by Louis Theroux.

Meet the co-writer of Mariah’s Christmas hit. Mariah Carey’s Christmas hit lawsuit has been withdrawn.

The vocalist has previously penned songs for Charli XCX and Little Mix, as well as being featured on tunes by Jax Jones and David Guetta. Her solo stuff, however, did not take off as quickly, and she informed fans last year that her record label was refusing to release her album.

She is now self-sufficient and has achieved chart success in her own right, due in part to Tik Tok, where her song’s rebellious and relatable lyrics have inspired over 150,000 videos. “Right now, I feel on top of the world,” she told the BBC. “I’m about to puke. It feels like I’m in a simulation; it’s not real.”
