An ex-state trooper from Pennsylvania admits guilt on child pornography charges.

Sean Ryan McKenzie, 38, pleaded guilty to multiple child pornography-related charges, including attempting to persuade a minor to perform sexual acts and possessing digital files of prepubescent minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

McKenzie admitted to possessing images of prepubescent minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct while working as a corporal in the Pennsylvania State Police.

The case against him began last year when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was tipped off to more than 200 images of child porn uploaded to a DropBox account.

After admitting guilt to many child graphy-related offences, Sean Ryan McKenzie may be sentenced to life in prison.

McKenzie, a Pennsylvania state trooper, was suspended after allegations of child sexual exploitation and abuse became public in March 2022.

The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative started by the DOJ in 2006. He is expected to be sentenced on Aug. 31 and could face life in prison and a fine of up to $1.75 million.
