Lisa Marie Presley’s trust papers challenged by mother Priscilla Presley.

Priscilla Presley has contested “the authenticity and validity” of Lisa Marie Presley’s will.

The businesswoman is challenging an amendment to her mother’s will that ousted her as a trustee. She asked a judge to determine the validity of the amendment, which named her daughter and son-in-law as co-trustees.

The amendment allegedly removed Priscilla from the trust, leaving her as the sole trustee after her brother died by suicide in 2020.

Priscilla asserts in the court document that Lisa Marie “signed a revocable living trust, which she revised and totally restated on January 27, 2010,” naming her and Siegel as co-trustees for the first time on January 29, 1993.

However, she asserts that she discovered a fresh modification, which was dated March 11, 2016, after her daughter passed away on Jan. 12 after suffering a cardiac attack.

In the documents, Priscilla claims that Lisa Marie’s name was incorrectly misspelt and that her daughter’s signature on the 2016 paper “appears discordant with her usual and customary signature.”

In accordance with the requirements of the 2010 trust agreement, she further said that the document was never notarized and had not been provided to her while Lisa Marie was still alive.

Riley would, therefore, become a co-trustee with [Priscilla] with regard to the trust and all trusts made thereunder, according to the agreement.

Despite the aforementioned, Riley can serve as a co-trustee of her subtrust because she is older than 30 if a formal document with her approval to do so is delivered and signed.

Through the years, Lisa Marie’s financial struggles have been well-documented, including her 2018 lawsuit against Siegel, in which she accused him of incompetence and poor handling of her sizeable Elvis fortune.

Lisa Marie stated in documents submitted at the time that her former company manager had abandoned her in “financial devastation” by 2016, leaving her with only $14,000 in cash. Lisa Marie was counter-sued by Siegel for outstanding invoices totaling $800,000.

After a star-studded memorial service, Lisa Marie was put to rest at Graceland and less than a week later, Priscilla filed her most recent lawsuit.

Per the amendment, Riley would be the sole trustee after her brother died in 2020.

The mother of one later thanked fans for their support throughout the “very difficult time.”
